TONE3000 Plugin is an open-source guitar and bass amp-sim plugin and standalone app built around the TONE3000 library of Neural Amp Modeler captures and impulse responses. Rather than building a fixed collection of modeled amps, it lets you browse and play community captures of amps, cabinets, pedals, full rigs, and outboard gear directly in a DAW or without one.
The main appeal is turning a large NAM library into an immediate auditioning workflow. You can stack NAM A2 captures and IRs in any order for a complete signal chain, then keep favorite combinations organized without the usual manual file-download and folder-management routine.
TONE3000 also has deeper routing and tone-shaping tools than a basic profile player. Stereo mode supports dual chains, branching, panning, auto-align, and auto-balance, while Spread can widen a mono chain; pre- and post-block parametric EQ plus global EQ make it practical to shape a capture in the same window.
For recording work, the plugin includes calibration for matching an interface input to calibrated captures, per-block normalization, oversampling, MIDI mapping, and a tuner. It is a particularly strong fit for players who want to move quickly from clean amp-and-cab captures to layered stereo rigs, while retaining the option to work offline with already downloaded models, IRs, chains, and presets.
