NeuralNote is the audio plugin that brings state-of-the-art Audio to MIDI conversion into your favorite Digital Audio Workstation.

NeuralNote comes as a simple AudioFX plugin (VST3/AU/Standalone app) to be applied on the track to transcribe.

The workflow is very simple:

Gather some audio
Click record. Works when recording for real or when playing the track in a DAW.
Or drop an audio file on the plugin. (.wav, .aiff and .flac supported)
The midi transcription instantly appears in the piano roll section. Play with the different settings to adjust it.
Export the MIDI transcription with a simple drag and drop from the plugin to a MIDI track.

Currently, only the raw .vst3, .component (Audio Unit), .app and .exe (Standalone) files are provided. Installers will be created soon. In the meantime, you can manually copy the plugin/app file in the appropriate directory. The code is signed on macOS, but not on Windows, so you might have to perform few extra steps in order to be able to use NeuralNote on Windows (to be documented soon).

Instead of wading through logs of MIDI messages to correlate relevant ones and identify what is happening, ShowMIDI visualizes the current activity and hides what you don’t care about anymore. It provides you with a real-time glanceable view of all MIDI activity on your computer.

Usage
To use it, simply double-click the application to launch it.

To pause the MIDI data stream, press the spacebar, to un-pause, press it again.

The plugin versions can be used in any DAW that supports MIDI effect plugins. Some plugin formats, like VST3, might filter out certain MIDI messages and not present a fully accurate view.

Why another sequencer?

Helio is an attempt to rethink a music sequencer to create a tool that feels right.

It aims to be a modern music creation software, featuring linear-based/pattern-based sequencer with clean UI, integrated version control, microtonal temperaments support, small portable builds and more; mainly targeted at hobbyist composers, game developers and indie artists. Dodo MIDI is a voice to MIDI plugin, it detects the incoming audio, which can be voice or musical instruments, and controls the pitch and volume of any synthesizer or sampler you connect to it.

MIDI-Transformer allows you to transform and reroute incoming MIDI signals.

To use the plugin, place it somewhere in your VST chain and select an input source from the top-left dropdown, as well as an output destination from the top-right dropdown.

During playback, the plugin works as follows:

• Reads incoming MIDI values from the selected input source.
• Transforms those values using the specified transformation curve.
• Outputs the transformed values according to the selected output destination.

The plugin’s GUI will show a vertical line along the curve to indicate the last input value that was captured, and how it was transformed. To edit the curve :

• Move a node by clicking and dragging.
• Add a node by double clicking anywhere along the curve.
• Delete a node by right clicking on it.
• Change a node’s curve type by double clicking on it.
• This will cycle between the three curve types: Linear (default), Quadratic, Cubic.

PDP2MIDI is a drum pad to MIDI trigger.

It is designed to be used with a piezo type drum pad plugged directly into your soundcard.

Have also tested using a guitar for the trigger input with very good results. You should be able to trigger with almost any audio source provided that the breaks between the peaks drop below the threshold. Does not work too well with piezo type acoustic drum triggers but I have got good results from these on a kick drum.

Note: not all hosts can work with this type of MIDI VST, as it is an audio in, MIDI out plugin. However using a VST chainer plugin like energyXT or other should make it useful in most hosts.
