Inspired by the famous EQ4 with its signature “Air Band”, Rainbow Bird EQ is our take at Vox Samples on the legendary EQ.

With improved gain accuracy and easy-to-navigate controls, Rainbow Bird is the perfect additive EQ that will make your sounds cut through your mix. Featuring 2 “Air” knobs, you can get all the clarity you need! Note that every knob interacts with each other, so tweak them until you get the perfect curve for your sound.

Unlike your stock or surgical EQ, Rainbow Bird EQ does not scale its frequency gains linearly. Instead, it focuses on wide, bold curves to colour the sounds in a musical way. However, similar to the reference hardware, Bird EQ has minimal phase distortion, therefore keeping your sound quality intact.

An audio plugin for quickly shaping a tone without going into details of the selected parameters. It is well suited for quick sketches and for not very experienced users who still find it difficult to set up complex devices. The “RANDOM” button will create a random selection of all parameters and will help you choose the desired tone in a few clicks. By simply rotating one “Ball” (four-band equalizer), you can quickly change the overall tone of the instrument. Compression is also set up quite easily by controlling the “Ball” by changing the attack and release. “Attack-Release” Separate settings of direct “DRY” and processed ‘WET” signal allows parallel use of the effect with greater flexibility.

Runs in double precision 64-bit internal processing. Also double precision input / output if supported. At 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sampling rates, it upsamples to 88.2 kHz or 96 kHz respectively to do all EQ processing with 17 sample latency.

BootEQ is a classic EQ and preamplifier combination. With four independent parametric EQ bands, it offers well selected and musical sounding EQ curves with both asymmetric and proportional curve behaviour. The unit offers elegant audio colouration capabilities with a dedicated preamp stage capable of adding harmonic overtones as well as pleasant tube and transformer based saturation effects.

In its 4th incarnation, the performance of all EQs and filters has been improved and further options has been added. Boot EQ mkIV features authentic audio transformer circuitry in the preamplifier stage and the signal saturation effects can now be adjusted not only continuously, but also fully volume-compensated. The update adds VST3 support and also includes bug fixes and a revised manual is now available online.

Runs in double precision 64-bit internal processing. Also double precision input / output if supported.

Internal sample rated fixed at 192/176.2kHz in 48/44.1kHz, 96/88.1kHz, 192/176.2kHz sample rates.

It does run under 44.1kHz, but may have some EQ curve cramping.
At 48/44.1kHz – x4 oversampling is on with 24 sample latency, and at 96/88.1kHz – x2 oversampling is on with 12 sample latency.

Since they have the same name and the same ID, they will be defined by the DAW as the same plugin and you cannot use two sizes together.
