This is a tool that allows you to change the sound timing of drums you have created by playing them back and forth.

The pronunciation timing fluctuates according to the pitch and velocity settings of the MIDI signal,

Bass drums are pronounced earlier only when they become stronger.

– The hi-hat is pronounced slower only when it becomes weaker.

– The snare is always pronounced a little slower.

Grooves can be adjusted without manually fine-tuning MIDI tracks.

– Even if quantization is performed by changing swing values, etc.,

– Because it functions without moving the sound position on the sequencer,

the first note of a beat is pronounced a little before the beat. This makes it easy to edit drum tracks in which the first note of the beat is pronounced a little before the beat.

NeuralNote comes as a simple AudioFX plugin (VST3/AU/Standalone app) to be applied on the track to transcribe.

Or drop an audio file on the plugin. (.wav, .aiff and .flac supported)
The midi transcription instantly appears in the piano roll section. Play with the different settings to adjust it.
Export the MIDI transcription with a simple drag and drop from the plugin to a MIDI track.

Currently, only the raw .vst3, .component (Audio Unit), .app and .exe (Standalone) files are provided. Installers will be created soon. In the meantime, you can manually copy the plugin/app file in the appropriate directory. The code is signed on macOS, but not on Windows, so you might have to perform few extra steps in order to be able to use NeuralNote on Windows (to be documented soon).

MIntavalla consists of an Interval circle and two keyboards underneath:
an upper melody- and a lower harmony keyboard.

It illustrates musical events by analysing and specifically colouring chord intervals (lower harmony keyboard) and melody intervals (upper melody keyboard) in realtime:
– chord intervals related to the tonal center established by the first chord root being played
– melody intervals related to the chord root currently being played (upper melody keyboard)
– the interval circle above the keyboards highlights the chord currently being played (here: G minor) and also re- cords the chord interval levels of all chords relative to the tonal center (outer interval ring).
– the (adjustable) colors always represent the absolute semitone distance of the chord and melody notes to the respective tonal center or chord root.

Mintavalla works purely with realtime MIDI data.

VoMPE (Voice over MIDI Polyphonic Expression) analyzes voice input and then outputs polyphonic MIDI notes based on formant frequencies representing voice characteristics.

The process of voice production can be modeled by the vibration of the vocal cords and the resonance of the vocal tract. In this case, the voice spectrum is the product of the vibration spectrum of the vocal cords and the frequency characteristics of the vocal tract. Thus, the frequency characteristics of the vocal tract are called the spectral envelope. And the resonant frequencies of the vocal tract, i.e., the peak frequencies of the spectral envelope, are called formant frequencies. These are widely used in speech analysis, synthesis, and coding.

VoMPE estimates the spectral envelope of voice input using Linear Prediction Coefficients and then finds the formant frequencies. The spectral envelope is divided into bands and one band corresponds to one MIDI channel. VoMPE outputs MIDI notes that reflect formant frequencies whose amplitude is maximum in the band.

VoMPE is provided as a VST 3 plug-in for digital audio workstations and supports 16KHz, 44.1KHz, and 48KHz sampling rates. OS environment is 64bit Windows 11.

A VST plugin for enhancing non-MPE MIDI streams with MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) capabilities based on user-defined mappings and rules, for Linux and Windows.
MPE Emulator is a MIDI proxy: an intermediary plugin which turns non-polyphonic, single channel aftertouch (channel pressure), pitch bend, or any MIDI Control Change (CC) message into polyphonic by applying them selectively to the lowest, highest, oldest, or newest note, either across the whole keyboard or restricted to a range of keys based on a configurable keyboard split point. It can also remap and reshape controller data, and do various other tricks to increase the expressiveness of a musical performance.

Retroactively add MPE functionality to non-MPE-capable MIDI input devices.
Remap controllers, e.g. turn modulation wheel data into MPE aftertouch and vice-versa.

MPE Emulator Lite:

MPE Emulator Lite is a platform-independent JS plugin for REAPER v6.74 and above which provides the most fundamental features of MPE Emulator.

Installation:

Before Installing: Choosing a Distribution
If your plugin host application supports VST 2.4, then you should download and install the FST version of MPE Emulator.

If your plugin host only supports VST 3, or if you can live with a few quirks and edge case bugs due to the incomplete MIDI support in the VST 3 protocol, then you should try the VST 3 bundle on both Windows and Linux.

If you are using an older VST 3 host, or if you are running a 32 bit (also known as “i686” or “x86”) VST 3 host on a 64 bit Linux system, then it might not be able to load the VST 3 bundle, so you will have to go with a VST 3 single file MPE Emulator package that matches the architecture of your host application.

The 32 bit versions are usually only needed by those who deliberately use a 32 bit plugin host application, e.g. because they want to keep using some really old plugins which are not available for 64 bit systems.

If you are in doubt, then try the 64 bit FST version, and if your plugin host application doesn’t recognize it, then try the VST 3 bundle, and if that still fails to load, then try the 64 bit VST 3 single file version, then the 32 bit FST version, then the 32 bit VST 3 single file version, and so on.

System Requirements:

Operating System: Windows 7 or newer, or Linux (e.g. Ubuntu 22.04)
CPU: SSE2 support, 32 bit (i686) or 64 bit (x86-64)
RAM: around 30 MB per instance
The plugin can also be compiled for RISC-V 64 from its source code.

Tested with REAPER 7.17.

MPE Emulator Lite runs on any operating system and CPU where REAPER runs. The required minimum version of REAPER is v6.74.
