Sinensis is 6 bandpass filters.
You interact with the relation between their gains and frequency. You can input MIDI to play the bands with notes. To route MIDI to Sinensis, you can find info on this website

tl;dr : Set the output of a MIDI track to the track where the plug-in lives.

Sinensis is a bunch of bandpass filters. Inspired by modular such as Tides and Just Friends, you modulate their relation instead of their absolute frequencies.
You set the root frequency (either by hand with a tune widget, or with the MIDI input).
You then set the ratio between each band frequence and the gain of each band following simple functions. I contrained myself to avoid knob, sliders, drop-down menus and numeric values. Using colors and their evolution to inform the user. The goal being to show the state of the system, not to visualize each of its parameters.
In contrast with this unusual method, I chose to make a very clear and structured UI, big fonctionality blocks. I haven’t had much feedback on this plug but I’d be curious to have some people to test it whitout explanation to inform my future conception of UI.

YS – Filters Easy_ Audio filtering plugin. The plugin has simple functions and is easy to configure. Four types of filter Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass, Band Reject to choose from.

The resonance regulator can be selected step-by-step 4 fixed settings or smooth. The effect can also be used in parallel mixing with the source. “Flux” adds movement to the sound by slightly shifting the channel frequencies relative to each other. At the output, a peak limiter is triggered if the threshold is exceeded.

(Three folders knob-31-51-101 with pictures of different storyboards in case the user does not have enough video card resources, the fader and large knob may not be displayed. Replace the pictures with a smaller storyboard. By default, 101 for greater smoothness and accuracy of adjustment).

FILT-R is a cross-platform filter modulator based on plugins like ShaperBox and FilterShaper. It includes 6 unique filters, three of them grabbed from Saikes Yutani Bass (303, MS-20 and Linear), a Moog filter which is the JUCEs stock ladder filter adapted to this project and finally an Analog/Sallen Key and Phaser filters which came from Vital synth source code.

Paint mode
Paint mode was remade in version 2, it now works with custom patterns that can be edited like the main audio patterns and rescaled before placing on view. There are 32 patterns that can be used and edited, these patterns are saved in the settings file and shared by any instances of the plugin.

Envelope Followers
Envelope followers for cutoff and resonance can be activated in the Envelope section by setting the amount positive or negative. This feature like many others was introduced by ShaperBox and had to be included in this project.

Self repeating patterns
Patterns are not constrained by start and endpoints like they used to, they can have only one point or no points, this mainly allows patterns to be seamlessly rotated to create new rhythm variations.

Multi-point selections
Multiple points can be selected and moved around, the selections can also be scaled and skewed by holding Alt + drag the leftmost or rightmost handles, this allows to quickly make rising or falling wedges as well as compress or expand sets of points.

Audio Trigger
Audio transients can be used to trigger the envelope or restart its cycle, its heavily based on ShaperBox and includes two modes of detection: Simple – based on envelope following and Drums – based on total energy during a small time window. This feature is also heavily based on ShaperBox and also allows to use sidechain as input.

MIDI Trigger
MIDI can be used to trigger the envelope or restart its cycle, it can also be used to change patterns (defaults to channel 10).

Pattern sync
Pattern changes can be synced to the playback beat position, this allows for to make timely transitions in real time in sync with the song position.

Sequencer
Clicking the Seq button toggles the sequencer mode where patterns can be built and randomized with ease.

Tips
Shift for fine slider adjustments.
Shift toggles snap on/off.
Mouse wheel on view changes grid size
Right click points changes point type.
Alt + drag selection handles skews selected points.
Right click + drag in paint mode changes paint tool tension.
Shift + mouse wheel on sequencer to change step size.

OBLITERATE IS ANGRY
Obliterate doesn’t make your audio sound better, it destroys it.
Obliterate isn’t just angry, it wants to make your song angry.
It wants to make your listeners angry.
Obliterate wants to make everyone angry.

Obliterate started life as a filter, but there was a bug in the code. We could have fixed that bug, but we let it fester. Over time that bug grew and mutated. It gained new powers and its anger warped them to its evil will. Seven years after that initial bug Obliterate can’t be described as a filter at all. Obliterate is more like a new form of resonant distortion. Use cautiously. Use sparingly. And always clean up afterward.

TECHNOLOGY
Obliterate really did start as a normal filter algorithm but a bug gave it an incredble sounding distortion. So much that it stopped sounding like a filter at all. It sounded insane.

We loved this decided to nurture that aspect of it and packaged it into this free plug-in for you all to enjoy.
