Three independent EQ bands – each with separate boost and cut controls – feed a custom RMS compressor with program-sensitive auto-release. The VU meters are real, the ballistics are analog, and the whole thing is free. No demo mode. No time limit. No license key. Drop it on a bus and play something.

After the XM Series mastering plugins, our roadmap was always going to expand toward mixing tools.

Well… that day has arrived!

Built upon the engineering philosophy and spirit of the XM family, you’ll notice what makes this tool special from the moment you start using it. Simple – Fast – Effective!

We tried to include everything you would want from a channel strip. With Xhannel S, you can shape your individual tracks with minimal need for additional processing stages.

Technical Features:

* Our newly developed internal anti-aliasing algorithm.
* A new button in the top bar for creating and managing presets.
* DEPTH is not a traditional double-track effect, signal duplication, or a time-based delay process. Instead, it creates spatial width by manipulating the signal’s phase in a way that behaves much more like real hardware. It is fully compatible with stereo signals.
* The Drive knob is unique. It features a custom curve shape. Rather than producing traditional digital clipping when a channel reaches its maximum level, the signal is progressively strengthened along a curve, similar to the behavior of individual channels on a console. With the Input knob, you can drive the signal harder into the existing curve, or you can turn up the Drive knob itself for a smoother tone. Note: Since the Drive knob also adds gain, we recommend balancing it with the Input control. There is virtually no audible aliasing.
* The EQ section can be controlled either through the knobs or directly from the spectrum analyzer. The ranges are intentionally defined, not as a limitation, but to make decisions easier by listening rather than looking. The simpler it is, the faster and more effective it becomes!
* The Dynamics module delivers the emotional response you want based on the selected parameters. Glue? That’s where it shines… Hard? ONLY IF YOU PUSH IT!
* The FILTERS section is ideal for quickly removing unnecessary frequency content.
* With our evolving technology, when multiple instances of Xhannel S are inserted across individual tracks, they communicate with one another. Just like a console!

Detroit-style compressor. Inspired by the Roland SP-303‘s vinyl compression algorithm.

Lil’ Doc is a compressor effect based on the muscular, vinyl simulator in an early 00s workhorse sampler. It’s a powerful effect that’s found a cult following among lo-fi heads, and rightly so! We first implemented this compression algorithm for our paid plug-in Doctor Vibe, and the sound was so unique, we thought it would be a great first entry in our free plug-in series. Enjoy!

VocRide is a pitch-aware vocal harmonic EQ for shaping the body and tone of a vocal without chasing notes by hand.

Instead of using fixed EQ bands, VocRide tracks the vocal fundamental and follows it through the performance. Two main controls let you boost or reduce the fundamental and the second harmonic, so you can add weight, focus, or clarity exactly where the voice is actually singing.

Just a clean, fast interface that shows you what your signal is doing and lets you act on it.

WHAT IT DOES
Real-time transient visualization with adjustable time window. Integrated soft clipper with threshold control and live display of the clipper’s effect on the signal. Color knob for saturation amount. Clip knob to set the clipping threshold, with real-time visual feedback showing exactly where and how the clipper is hitting. Multiple clipping modes selectable directly from the interface: Off · Soft · Tape · ASAT · Limit · Hard.

CONTROLS

Molotok, a simplified version of TDR Molot GE, is a musically characterful dynamics processor. Meaning “Small Hammer” in Russian, Molotok provides a rich range of exciting compression colors at your fingertips.

While Molotok doesn’t emulate any “vintage” device, its sound and behaviour was definitely inspired by their most interesting musical peculiarities. This flexibility makes it a rewarding choice for almost any source in the mix, be it drums needing more crisp and impact, solidification and enrichment of vocals, or the enhancement of guitar and bass recordings of all types.

Molotok relies on the same algorithms as its larger edition, Molot GE. As with all TDR plugins, Molotok employs state of the art audio processing technology keeping unwanted distortion under strict control. An intuitive and well documented user interface offers quick access to all relevant parameters in a rewarding manner. Several helpers such as unlimited undo/redo, optional stepped controls, inline help tips and many more features help the operator achieve consistent results within a short time.

A darker, Polarity-modified version of Robbert van der Helm’s Spectral Compressor: per-bin upward and downward compression, pink-noise shaping, sidechain spectral matching, freeze, and IR export.

Main Input
The dry signal is captured for latency-compensated mix, bypass, match, and delta monitoring before the spectral processor runs.

FFT Compressor
The signal is windowed, transformed into FFT bins, shaped by the upward/downward compressor bank, then rebuilt with overlap-add processing.

Sidechain + Output
Optional sidechain analysis can drive matching or compression. Freeze can lock the current curve, IR export can save it, and output gain/match finish the comparison.
